Blog Post #8 - Production Research

         For the next area of my research phase, I will be focusing on the specifics. Such as, location, lighting, camera movements, proper scoring and my production company. I have chosen a couple large, big name companies to do research on in order to plan for mine.

         My first major company I chose to look into is Universal Studios. This company is widely known internationally through its blockbuster content and multi-media forms. My takeaway from this company when developing my own is their advertising. They use advertising to their best ability to always properly spread their creations and reach their target audiences. I want to also do this through my company when it is developed to ensure I reach the audiences I want to while showing just the right amount of my content and behind the scenes without giving too much away. 

        The other major company I chose to research was Warner Bros. Studio. This company is again a major name in the media industry that has produced so many far reaching and successful films and shows. When they do so, they distribute their content with purpose. By doing this through theaters and streaming services, they also achieve their job of reaching their target audiences and profits by distributing their content properly so that it is accessible. 

         For my production company, it will be used later on in my social media promotional account for the documentary and perhaps even in the documentary. I will continue to do deeper research in to these companies that will help me learn to distribute, market, and advertise my documentary with the help of my company name and logo that I will create using Canva to ensure it is neat and aesthetic to follow with my concept.
